The MUS Community Mission
Our mission is clear, and we live it: Memphis University School is a college-preparatory school dedicated to academic excellence, cultivation of service and leadership, and the development of well-rounded young men of strong moral character, consistent with the school’s Christian tradition.
A Legacy of Honor, Service, and Leadership
From students, to faculty, to parents, to alumni, the entire MUS community shares a commitment to upholding the values set forth in our mission and the characteristics that define the MUS man – honor, service, integrity. Our culture shapes boys into leaders who in turn shape their communities.
Serving Memphis and Beyond
The MUS commitment to community extends beyond the campus gates.
Service Initiatives
Our students dedicate time and effort to service projects throughout Memphis, partnering with local organizations to make a difference. Through student-led initiatives, mentorship programs, and community service, our boys learn the value of leadership through action.
Economic Impact
MUS positively impacts the larger community through strategic partnerships, economic contributions, and service initiatives, and by sharing our facilities. Local alumni serve as leaders in a wide range of corporate and community organizations, investing meaningful economic, intellectual, and philanthropic capital in the city.
